Hinako OHTA Biography

Pianist Hinako Ota has won special prizes in several international and national competitions, including the 2007 All-Japan Student Music Competition, the 2009 Ahorn Piano Competition, and the 2008 and 2009 International Junior Music Competition where she has won the Grand Prix award, the Chiba City Mayor award, and the Takagi Klavier prize.

Born in Akita, Japan in 1994, Hinako completed the Yamaha Junior Special Course (a special training program for young musicians) before entering the Seitoku University Open Academy Music Research Center in Tokyo where she continues to study with Hitoshi Wada.
